Motorized Shades
Motorized shades, integrated into Orange County homes.
Light, privacy, and comfort — integrated
Motorized shades as part of a complete home, not a standalone add-on.
Audio Images designs, installs, and integrates automated shades and drapery as one element of a whole-home system. Because a shade is only as useful as the lighting, climate, control, and scheduling it works alongside, we never treat it as an accessory bolted on at the end. The result is a home that responds to the day’s light automatically — and feels effortless from the first interaction.
What we install
Roller, roman, drapery — integrated into the whole home.
We specify shade type, fabric openness, and hardware per window — and we coordinate those decisions with the rest of the home’s systems. Pockets, fascias, power, control wiring, and sequencing are planned alongside lighting, climate, and audio-video so the finished home behaves as one environment.
- Solar and sheer roller shades that cut glare and heat while keeping the view.
- Blackout shades and drapery for bedrooms, theaters, and media rooms.
- Recessed pockets and custom fascias so hardware disappears into the ceiling.
- Whisper-quiet motors — the room reads as still, even while shades move.
- Battery, hardwired, and retrofit options for existing homes as well as new builds.

Integrated, not isolated
One system for light and shade.
Shades are only half of the daylight story. We are factory-trained and certified across the leading control and automation platforms — Lutron, Crestron, and Savant — so shades, lighting, climate, and audio-video behave as one system rather than four apps.
Practically, that means shades that follow the sun through the day, a single keypad press that dims lights and closes blackouts for movie night, and a “goodnight” scene that takes the whole house down at once. Timeclock and astronomic scheduling keep it working whether anyone is home or not.
Every home is different, so we design the sequence around how your family actually lives — then teach it in plain language once it’s installed.
How a shade project runs
Measured early, installed without drama.
Step 01
Walk the light
We visit the home, note orientation, glare, views, and privacy needs room by room.
Step 02
Specify
Shade type, fabric, openness factor, and hardware are selected with your designer, then documented.
Step 03
Coordinate
Pockets, power, and ceiling details are shared with the architect and builder before framing closes.
Step 04
Install & tune
Precision install, limits set, scenes programmed alongside lighting — then a hands-on walkthrough.
