What each project had to solve.
Pinnacle Cinema
Winner — Best Home Cinema Level II
A room-within-a-room-within-a-room at the base of a three-story concrete shell: 17.8.8 Grimani Systems immersive audio, 32,000 watts, a 236-inch Stewart Director's Choice screen, a Barco Nerthus projector, and an NC10 noise floor inside an Italian classical estate.
Avalon Cinema
Honorable Mention — Best Home Cinema Level II
A failed theater taken back to the slab and rebuilt. Leather, wood, and a conversation pit reconciled with STC 65 isolation — the kitchen above now runs a dishwasher during a movie without anyone noticing.
K-Star Cinema
Finalist — Best Home Cinema Level I
A cinema that opens. A sound-rated dual-leaf door swinging a full 180 degrees, with back-channel audio dynamically re-routed whenever the doors cover the rear speakers.
Acoustic engineering and calibration on all three 2026 award-recognized projects were performed in collaboration with Anthony Grimani's PMI Engineering team. Video calibration was performed by Matt Smith of Avical.
