Southern California’s Home Theater Solutioneers win globally for Best Home Cinema. They now have the most CEDIA media room and theater awards in history.
Orange County’s own Audio Images has won the prestigious "Global Award" for their media rooms and home cinema more than any other integrator on the planet to date.
The home technology industry’s CEDIA Awards spotlights the finest in home cinema and media rooms, from design through installation. This year’s global winner for Best Home Cinema was – yet again – awarded to Southern California’s Audio Images.
Audio Images has been previously recognized for creating the world’s BEST OVERALL HOME THEATER (2013) and world’s BEST MEDIA ROOMS (2016, 2018, 2019), with over 22 CEDIA Awards since 2010, including many additional “Best of…” recognitions for the Americas.
CEDIA is the global voice of the $19 billion home technology industry, serving as the trade association for more than 30,000 industry professionals that design, manufacture, and install home technology.
The CEDIA Awards represent the best of the best, an annual showcase of excellence from across the globe. Judged by an impartial panel of experts, consideration is given to every aspect of the project, from aesthetics to calibration to documentation. Global Winners like Audio Images were culled from top finishers in their individual categories and regions, and represent the highest levels of achievement — truly “Best in Show.”
Best Home Cinema, Level III, Global Winner – Ka Theater
“This is exceptional work – this is a great example of a reference-grade theater — documentation and racks are first rate — power management is superb — I’ll take it!” said one judges’ comment of this epic home theater.
Audio Images worked with Anthony Grimani’s PMI to create a masterful cinema, and many judges gave this room perfect or near-perfect marks, leading to a Global win, in addition to a trophy for Best Home Cinema Level III (Americas).
As in every project, there were challenges. In this case, a hidden bank-door vault with a motorized door got in the way of perfect speaker placement for a proper 11.4.4 immersive audio experience. Audio Images and Grimani were up to the challenge, though, ultimately creating a room where “performance is amazing in stereo and in multichannel, with startling bass — and high sound pressure capability.”
False front walls help create the perfect room shape, and upgrading HVAC and isolating sound were additional opportunities. This “great example of a reference-grade theater,” as the judges noted, features a stunning Barco 4K projector and giant 138-inch screen to round out the experience.
The Solutioneers at Audio Images also picked up the Best Dressed Racks (Americas) prize for their work at the KA Theater. Technology – and racks in particular – are the nerve center of an entertainment space, and the judges noted that this artful rack “is the kind of work that every integrator should aspire to. You know you’ve done great work when we can use your project as a teaching tool, an example of best practices.”
